Canada Day

Canada Day was a big celebration for the Mylymoks! Spencer marched in the Canada Day Parade. The RCMP led the parade, with a horse and everything! It still makes me emotional to see him in his Red Serge ( he is right behind the lady in blue in the parade picture, click on it to enlarge and get a good look at him).

The Houles had come to visit and headed to the parade with Mac and I. It was a fantastic parade, about an hour long, with lots of music, dancers, floats, not to mention the candy which Gabrielle and Josephine collected.

In true Mylymok fashion, we had our Canada Day t-shirts, tattoos and flags (courtesy of Gran and Aunty Tara). And after the parade we had a BBQ at our house. Uncle Wayne, Linda and Gabe came for the day and night, as well as Spencer's troop mate Owen and his family from Saskatchewan. There were a few people from the detachment who also joined us. So, with 14 people sleeping at our house and a number more for the BBQ we now consider our house "broken in". There were kids and people and laughter everywhere, we couldn't have asked for a nicer celebration. It really meant a lot to Spencer and I to have everyone here.

We hope you all had a wonderful Canada Day as well, and a Happy 4th for our American family and friends!
