Hanging out at the Boise Zoo
What a weekend!
Friday we flew into Boise to join the entire Mok family in celebrating Jeremy's retirement from hockey. The parent Moks, the Houley Moks, the Boise Moks, Uncle Clint Mok and us were able to all be together and what a fantastic weekend it was.
To start with the whole thing was a surprise for Jeremy, he had no idea all of us were coming. He may have thought something was going on, but that we would all be there I don't think he suspected.
As it was Friday night when we arrived the celebration started off with many a cuddles and catching up, and for the men catching up included a few bottles of wine apiece!
Saturday morning was a trip to the Boise Zoo for Aunty T, myself and all the kids, besides the penguins, moose, monkeys and tigers, we also saw Santa there! The afternoon was filled up with hockey, watching Uncle C coach a game, then a game played by Connor and Luke and finally the Steelheads game that evening with a ceremony for Uncle Jeremy after second period. As we used the camera to video the entire thing, all of our memory got used up and then no more pics for the weekend. Will have to wait for Aunty T to send us some, and then add them to the blog.
Sunday was a little more relaxing around the house. A little family birthday for Mac, and boy did he jump into that chocolate cake!!! Then that evening a surprise retirement party for Jeremy. Darlene did a fantastic job organizing and decorating for the whole thing.
All of us had a wonderful time and keep saying probably the best trip we've had to Boise yet! Was great to have all the family together and watch the cousins getting to know one another all over again. For us it was a treat to watch them all with Mac.
So there it is, our whirlwind trip to Idaho!
