This last week we were in Portland to visit Shriner's Children Hospital. We went to see what suggestions and recommendations they would have for Mac in regards to Physiotherapy and Equipment. Our first first was an assessment and consultation which was interesting. They definietly gave us a lot to think about and consider. If we choose to continue with them we would be making the trip about every 6 months. We haven't decided yet, but what they had to offer was appealing in its presentation.
While we were there we took some time to explore the city. Powell Books was a hit for all of us, and we all made a couple of purchases. It is the largest independent bookstore in the United States and takes up a whole city block in length and width and has three floors, wow!!!
There were many fountains around the city which Mac loved. After Daddy held him so he could splash and play in one, there had to be a stop at each and every fountain we came to from then on.
It was COLD and WINDY, but we walked around the entire downtown, rode the trolley and had a great time. Public transport is free in Portland. We didn't make it to the zoo, as we figured just too cold, maybe next time, but lots of good food and wandering.
