On Thursday the Olympic Torch Relay came to Sechelt, so we skipped out of all our regular activities, preschool, swimming lessons etc. and headed on down to the celebrations. Spencer was working as part of the security detail, hence the uniform. We arrived at 8:30 in the morning and lasted until about 11:30, when Lucy could wait for her nap no longer, she was asleep before we left the parking lot, and Mac cried for about 45 minutes after we left, wanting 'more Canada party'. It was a great time.
Mac's Occupational Therapist was our official torch bearer, and we had front row seats for the action. I have a great video and photos, but still haven't loaded my camera programs onto this new computer, so these pics are ones shared by friends who work for the local papers and caught a few shots of us.
Also, since I have been asked by more than one person, yes, I managed to get back up all by myself after squatting down for a picture with the kids. (Only 5 weeks left until baby arrives.)
