Things have been brewing...

and having finally come to fruition.
We have been keeping a little secret, and now that we have had official word can let the news out. We are moving to Texada Island!

Here are a few details, that I do know:
Texada is the largest of the gulf islands, at 51km long, which are located between Vancouver Island and the Lower Mainland. The population is 800, BUT it doubles in summer. It has a full school, but with population currently down, consists of one class, K-6, with 18 children. Yes, we can get all the services we need for McLean. Most of our shopping and resources will come from Powell River, which is on the mainland and a 20 minute ferry away. We will live in force housing, which means instead of buying we rent from the RCMP. Internet is dial-up, UGH, so S is getting me an IPhone which I can use as a hot-spot for my laptop. We will be there for 3 years. Anything else? Let me know, and I'll answer best I can. We are VERY excited for the opportunity, and hope to be moved within 90 days, as long as our house sells quickly, and as school is finished.

Also, we will once again, have a guest room for anyone wanting to visit and Shelter Point, on Texada, is a very sought after camping location, for those camping friends of ours. Hope to see some of you there.
