We were one of 300 lucky families selected to take part in this Variety Club event. Private citizens volunteer their yachts, their time, their enthusiasm and take families like ours on a full day pirate excursion. There was an hour and a half ride along the high seas of the Vancouver Harbours followed by a land event I have never seen the likes of. Everyone was in costume and character, there was loot to be collected from pirates along our treasure hunt on the harbour, pirates trying to over take us and a lot of "Arrrr's" and "Yo-Ho-Ho"-ing. Not a day this family will forget anytime soon!
