Just had a phone call from our PT and looks like Mac will be getting a new piece of equipment in the next week or so. Which is very exciting!!!
This will allow him to stand on his own and play with different toys on a table. (Standing is important as in order for the bones and muscles to grow and stregthen they need to have pressure on them, stimulating them and letting the body know it's time to get a move on.)
The table also has a pull out to insert a bowl for water play, or to fill with rice etc. in order to have some new tactile experiences to go along with our Occupational Therapy and developing fine motor skills
Will have to go to Vancouver to pick it up at the hospital, but here it is on-line in case you are interested in seeing....

Yahoo! I'm glad you got a hold of a stander. That is great and it looks likes such a fun one too!
Matteus' new stander is called a rabbit. We'll have to get our monkey and rabbit together for a standing party. :)
